CURRENT PRODUCTION LEAD TIME: 6–12 weeks

Originating in 15th-century Spain and gaining prominence across 16th and 17th-century Europe, the rapier is a single-handed sword designed for agility and precision. Reminiscent of the Roman gladius, it allows the use of a secondary weapon—such as a dagger or pistol—in the off-hand. Beyond its battlefield role, the rapier became a fashion symbol among Europe’s elite.

Our rapier excels as a versatile blade, primarily crafted for thrusting but also effective for cutting and slashing. Unlike many, every blade forged at Raven Loft Forge is sharpened along its entire length for maximum performance. One of its standout features is the intricately designed hilt, meticulously crafted to protect the wielder’s hand.

This beautiful hilt is forged from CPM S30V, a premium Crucible steel known for exceptional corrosion resistance, toughness, hardness, and edge retention. The blade employs the traditional HADA technique, where multiple pieces of similar carbon steels are forge-welded with the grain running lengthwise—like the grain on wood—ensuring strength and resilience.

The overall length measures 47 inches. This sword is also available in hand-forged Damascus steel with unique twist patterns and can be personalized with hand engraving to create a truly one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
